Do u agree domestic violence has increased?

There is tremendous increase in domestic violence on women over the years irrespective of their caste or class and i believe it has to be controlled.

In some of the households it may be there ,but we can not say it is there in majority of the households.Wherever it is there the ladies suffering must complain and protest.It should handled by lady police but there are instances of daughter-in-laws also of harassing the in laws.

yes i agree with u on that, my city has just decided to cut the amount of money r domestic help will get now, so there will not be the help that women need, thing that is sooooo wrong

Domestic violence would appear to be on the rise because more cases are being reported. I don't know if that mean it has increased. Think back to how women have been treated as a second class for so many years. During those times it was considered a norm for some of this violence. Now it is no longer socially acceptable to do those things so reporting of it is up.

I doubt domestic violence is a recent issue. It has been part and parcel of our society for a long time. The only difference being that women were silent about it in the past. Taking an occasional beating from your husband was thought to be an accepted part of your normal married life. It is what a wife deserves and after all “husbands” rule. That thought process has come to a lot of change in the present scenario. Women are educated and choose to speak out against domestic violence. This may be physical or emotional abuse. Domestic abuse is out in the open today. In the past it was silently borne behind closed doors. Domestic abuse has not increased – the courage to speak out against it has.

Domestic violence is always the same now the population increases the incident also increases If the woman understand thoroughly she can carefully avoid violence Some people have animal instinct there is no solution for it Some people felt sorry for their violent activity later.The woman has to carefully avoid violent situation and tackle the problem

Most authorities seem to agree that abusive personalities result from a .... female violence has increased as male violence has decreased (Archer, in press). .... Men's violence may do more damage than women's; women are much more likely....
