I stopped in, voted on your open poll, answered your 3 open topics, and rated you a 5. I hope you had a good day.

Have you had a prolonged bout of ill health or a spell in hospital within the last year? So many members seem to have - hence this poll.

My daughter sometimes catches this bus which takes her part way to home from school, when she does not have a lift home available. Luckily, she was not on it for the days it flooded, although the kids present seemed to think it was a really good laugh, as much as anything. I would not liked to have been on it, though, I'd imagine there were lots of ruined shoes and other clothing. Not the route to take home if you were a tidily dressed office worker or similar! Wonder how many adults got soaked and were upset /worried / angry as a result?

Watched "Country Tracks" this morning and the still ongoing debate as to whether there are big cat populations in certain rural areas of Cornwall and Devon. (In this case, Bodmin Moor)
Certainly, some local farmers (who are in general practical people not given to fancy and supposition) are certain that they have seen them. They say these cats kill cleanly and only when they need to, and do not approach humans. Experts on the programme say that a big cat population could easily survive in these areas, would indeed aviod people and would occasionally prey on the odd farm animal, cleanly, in the manner described by farmers.
According to the programme, however, DEFRA have closed down all of their lines of enquiry in this area. Do these cats exist, and if so, why do sensible eye witness accounts appear to have been ignored?
I think they probably do exist in small populations, what is your opinion?

I would interview King Henry VIII, a man whose life I have always found fascinating and full of contradictions. Amongst numerous other questions, primarily I would ask him who was the wife he held most dear to his heart, and why; Jane Seymour (as widely supposed by many historians) or even one of the wives he condemned to death i.e. Anne Boleyn and her cousin, Catherine Howard.
