Do you think that children in primary school should wear masks?

Day by day the number of infected with Covid-19 is growing again.

This evening government decided and confirmed that "“the wearing of face masks will be recommended for children aged nine and over on public transport, retail and other indoor public settings as currently required for those aged 13 and over, with exemptions as appropriate.”

This measure will be reviewed again in mid-February in 2022.

I know that number of cases is really big but this is shocking for me and now three my kids have to wear masks or visor even two of them have problem with breathing. They are not truly even happy with this decision.

Do you think that is too much?
Should we blame children in school because of this big number of cases?
Should we sent our children to school or consider home schooling as option?

Thank you.

I think is more dangerous for them to wear masks, the reason: they will be all the time with the hands in their face, trying to adjust the mask or taking it off . Better probably to have a reduced number of kids in the classroom, better hand hygiene and parents not to bring them at school if they are sick... Reply

Looking at the surge of cases in Primary Schools is it not safer to protect Children although I don't see the logic of a mixed classroom where 2nd class Kids don't need to wear them and in same classroom 3rd class students do . Reply

yea i think children need to wear masks especially where in a small space there would be 25 or more in a room Reply

I work in the primary school and I can see how necessarily is to wearing masks. I know kids don't like it but for the school staff safety and safy of the other kids in the room they should wear them. Reply
