  Parents are the guardians of the children in their charge, however, they should not be permitted and are not permitted to freely impose intransigent ignorance in all circumstances. Especially when it is one parent being the hold-out. In cases like the above where a preponderance of evidence stands starkly against the lone hold-out's woefully uninformed position, their obstinate wishes should be ridden roughshod over.
